About the Property
Elephant Valley Lodge
Set in the peaceful wilderness of the African bush, Elephant Valley Lodge offers a wonderful spot with views over Lesoma Valley in the Chobe District. This location is famous for having the highest number of African elephants worldwide. Unlike the busy main areas of Chobe, their charming tented camp on the edge of Kasane offers a calm, relaxing escape, filled with the soothing sounds of the night.
Imagine the animals and birds wandering freely in the lush valley nestled between the vibrant conservation areas of Chobe National Park and Zimbabwe’s National Parks. From the cosy, peaceful Lodge, you can enjoy watching a variety of creatures, big and small, stopping by the waterhole for a refreshing drink. It’s a wonderful way to connect with nature and feel completely relaxed.
At Elephant Valley Lodge, guests can look forward to exciting activities like daily 4×4 game-viewing safaris and relaxing boat cruises along the beautiful Chobe River in Chobe National Park. You can also easily plan day trips to visit the stunning Victoria Falls, whether from Zambia or Zimbabwe.
Their Lodge offers 20 spacious tents, each equipped with tea and coffee facilities, a fan, hair dryers, charging points, and an en-suite shower and toilet. Eight of these tents boast beautiful views over the valley towards the water hole, while the other twelve are charmingly nestled around lush forest lawns. If you’re planning to visit them during the winter months, please keep in mind that the tents can feel quite chilly. To stay comfortable and cosy, we suggest bringing warm clothing. Don’t worry—we also provide electric blankets to keep you warm and snug throughout the night.

Elephant Valley Lodge
A cosy tented safari lodge nestled on the edge of Kasane Forest Reserve, offering beautiful views over a lively water hole.
Introduction
Elephant Valley Lodge offers a cosy tented safari experience with breathtaking views of Lesoma Valley in the Chobe District, where you'll find a wonderful community of African elephants. It's a special place to enjoy nature's beauty and perhaps even spot these magnificent creatures nearby.
In addition to the numerous elephants that travel through the valley, you might also catch a glimpse of buffalo, giraffe, antelope, leopard, lion, and other predators, along with mongoose and a variety of smaller animals, all from the comfort of the central lodge areas and Valley Tents.
Imagine unwinding in the main lounge and bar at the front of the lodge, enjoying stunning waterhole views and the changing landscape. The charming wooden deck beneath the thatch creates a warm, authentic safari camp atmosphere that really makes you feel part of the adventure. And the front rim-flow pool? It’s simply perfect for lounging, sipping a refreshing drink, and soaking up the stunning African sunrise. It’s all about creating special moments and memorable experiences in this beautiful setting.
Dining in the African Boma area offers a truly special experience, where you can dine under the expansive Night Sky. The peaceful atmosphere lets guests enjoy the soothing sounds of the animals and tiny critters, all while savouring a delicious traditional meal cooked over an open fire.
At the lodge, you'll find two wonderful types of tents to choose from: the Valley Tents and the Forest Tents.
Valley tents are beautifully situated at the very front of the valley, offering you stunning, uninterrupted views of the vlei and waterhole. From your private veranda, you might even be lucky enough to watch a gentle giant pass by, making your experience truly unforgettable.
Nestled deeper within the lush woodlands, our forest tents are lovingly perched under the protective branches of sturdy Acacia Trees, which create a beautiful, shady canopy overhead. Each tent has its own inviting veranda, perfect for relaxing and listening to the cheerful birds, all while taking in the lovely view of the swimming pool that surrounds them.
An electric fence surrounds the lodge to keep guests safe day and night.
Elephant Valley Lodge provides their own comfortable 4 x 4 vehicles and enjoyable cruises into Chobe National Park and along the Chobe River. They understand that safaris can sometimes be a bit exhausting, so many guests love relaxing and soaking in the stunning scenery and amazing game sightings right from the cosy comfort of the lodge – truly an Armchair Safari experience.
The reserve forms an important link in the wildlife corridor stretching from Chobe National Park in the west to the Zambezi National Park in Zimbabwe to the east. This connection supports rich biodiversity and the movement of animals across these beautiful areas.
