A relaxed and bespoke river safari experience.
Drifting along the Chobe River, our three houseboats offer comfort in one of the world’s most diverse landscapes—experience all-inclusive African river safaris with wildlife sightings and intimate adventures.

Introduction
Imagine having a peaceful escape on one of the three charming Chobe Princesses, where only a few guests join you, creating a cosy and personalised experience. Without a fixed schedule, it feels just like your own luxurious houseboat floating gently on the water. You can even reserve the entire boat for yourself, turning it into a private water villa. As you leisurely drift along the Chobe River and watch stunning wildlife scenes, you’ll find yourself truly unwinding in a warm, intimate river safari adventure.
Each houseboat comes with at least three smaller “tender” boats ready for your daily adventures. Whether you want to spot over 450 bird species in this beautiful wetland, try catching a tiger fish, or capture Africa’s stunning scenery on a photographic safari, your options are plenty. And because you’ll be sharing these tender boats with only a few other guests, your excursions feel personalised and relaxed. Of course, you can also relax on a comfortable deck chair with a refreshing drink in hand, just enjoying the tranquil surroundings.
Each cabin on the Chobe Princesses is beautifully decorated in a modern style, offering you your own private view of the ever-changing landscapes outside. Imagine lying on your plush king-sized bed, seeing an elephant quietly grazing on the riverbank nearby, or watching a fish eagle swoop down for its meal. On the upper entertainment deck, you’ll discover a cosy lounge and bar area perfect for relaxing and unwinding. It's a lovely spot to enjoy some leisure time and take in the views. There’s also a lovely plunge pool perfect for a quick, refreshing swim. After a day of enjoying whatever catches your interest, drift off to sleep as the soothing calls of hyenas or even a lion drift through the open doors of your cabin.
Imagine yourself lying in bed, soaking in the stunning view around you. It’s so inviting that it's almost impossible to step away from the cosy comfort of your cabin on our luxury Chobe Princess houseboats. The tasteful decor wonderfully combines local charm with modern style, making the space feel warm and inviting. The highlight is the large sliding window, which offers a breathtaking frame for the ever-changing African landscapes, making every moment feel special and serene.
Two of the 18-metre Chobe Princesses feature four cosy cabin suites, while the third offers a bit more space with five suites. Each cosy cabin warmly welcomes two guests, offering a plush king-sized bed for ultimate comfort or two singles if you prefer a different arrangement. Enjoy modern comforts such as air conditioning, mosquito-proof windows, and private bathrooms with a shower, toilet, and basin. We also provide luxurious toiletries to pamper you, and insect repellent to ensure a peaceful night’s sleep. Hairdryers are available whenever you need them; ask!
Head up to the upper entertainment deck of your beautiful houseboat and unwind in the comfy lounge and bar. Take a moment to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery around you. There’s also an open-air dining space where you can savour delicious seasonal dishes crafted by talented chefs, making your experience even more special.
Looking to beat the heat? Enjoy a cool dip in the plunge pool, then unwind on a sunny lounger with your favourite ice-cold drink, available all day from the bar. It’s the perfect way to relax and soak up some sunshine! The lounge area is beautifully furnished with oversized leather couches, tables, and chairs—making it an ideal spot to watch a game or enjoy quality time with loved ones. As the evening approaches, don’t miss the chance to experience awe-inspiring stargazing under the immense African sky.
One of the highlights of Chobe National Park is its impressive elephant population, estimated at over 120,000. You’ll also have the chance to see large herds of buffalo, and if luck is on your side, you might spot rare herds of Roan Antelope and Sable. In addition to the wonderful land and water mammals, this park is a true birdwatcher’s paradise, where you can expect to encounter more than 450 bird species.
Since the Chobe Princesses are smaller vessels, they explore approximately 50km of the beautiful Chobe River, while the Zambezi Queen covers a shorter distance of about 25 kilometres. But don’t worry – this doesn’t mean one offers a better or worse game viewing experience; it’s simply a different pace of adventure. Each day, you’ll enjoy stopping at various mooring spots in the afternoon, where you’ll have the chance to relax and stay overnight.
Several environmentally friendly standards have been implemented on the Chobe Princesses to help protect the beautiful surroundings. During the day, they operate the latest, most fuel-efficient, and lowest-emission generators to minimise their environmental impact. When night falls after 22h00, the boat gracefully switches to battery power, ensuring quiet, eco-friendly operation throughout the night. The hot water is supplied by a solar heating system on board, making good use of renewable energy. At the same time, energy-efficient lighting throughout the vessel adds to their eco-conscious efforts. All the cleaning detergents and amenities provided on the houseboats are biodegradable, showing their strong commitment to sustainability. Additionally, they use an eight-stage river water purification plant for the water in showers, taps, and the pool, ensuring safe, clean water. To protect the riverbed and local wildlife, a water jet propulsion system replaces the traditional propeller, providing a gentle and environmentally friendly way to navigate.
SADC guests can enjoy a wonderful discount of up to 45%! Feel free to contact us anytime to book and take advantage of this great offer.
