During the dry season (July to October), you can witness these magnificent herds of elephants gathering, along with large groups of buffalo, along the lush flood plains of the Chobe River, which provide the only water and grazing in the area. It's also quite common to see giraffes, sable, roan antelope, painted dogs, lions, red lechwe, and puku, among many other incredible wildlife sights.

During the green season (Dec to April), you'll notice much of the game disperses inland, as nature helps the floodplains to recover and rejuvenate. While resident game is always around, it’s not as concentrated as during the dry season. One of the highlights of the green season is witnessing hundreds of newborn plains game and an abundance of plant life, making it a truly lively and vibrant time to experience nature.
