You'll witness the Zambezi River as it plunges over 100 metres across a magnificent 1.7-kilometre-wide curtain of water — a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the world's most awe-inspiring waterfalls.

What makes the Zambezi Explorer truly special is the wonderful experience that surrounds this defining moment, from start to finish.

The flight begins at the Zambezi Helipad and gently joins the stunning Batoka Gorge at Rapid Number 8, affectionately called Midnight Diner by rafting enthusiasts. From here, the helicopter gracefully follows the roaring river as it courses through the canyon's narrow depths—some sections are only about 30 metres wide, creating a breathtaking scene.

After soaring over the Falls, the adventure continues as you head upstream to Long Island. Here, the Zambezi becomes a broad, winding river, full of islands and alive with diverse wildlife, making it a truly mesmerising experience.

The flight gently drifts above the charming Victoria Falls resort town, offering a breathtaking view, before returning to the helipad.

• Duration: The flight lasts approximately 22 minutes. Including transfers, total travel time is roughly 45–60 minutes.

Route:

• Begins with the beautiful "Flight of Angels" figure-eight soaring over Victoria Falls.
• Continues down Batoka Gorge, soaring over the rapids all the way to Rapid #14.
• Returns to reveal a second breathtaking view of the Falls, allowing you to enjoy even more of its natural beauty.

• Aircraft: Fly in a Bell 206 helicopter featuring panoramic bubble windows and a spacious seat-free middle area. The aircraft is maintained to the highest safety standards and backed by $5 million public liability insurance.
• Age & Weight: Passengers of all ages are welcome. Children under 3 years can fly free when seated on a parent's lap. The standard weight limit is approximately 120 kg per passenger, although adjustments can be made where required.
